Classical Work
He has danced as a Company Soloist with State Opera Varna Ballet Company in Varna, Bulgaria and as a Corps De Ballet Artist with the Cape Town City Ballet in Cape Town, South Africa.
Soloist Roles played in career include: Giselle — Hilarion / Wilfred / Peasant Pas de Deux, The Nutcracker — Flowers Cavalier, Russian Dance, Arabian Pas de Deux, Spanish Dance, Soldier Doll, Rat King, The Sleeping Beauty — Bluebird Pas de Deux, Puss in Boots, Swan Lake — Spanish Dance, Romeo & Juliet — Tybalt, Don Quixote — Matador, Drum Dance - La Bayadere, Ballet Gala - Le Corsaire Pas De Deux.
Owen has extensive experience performing in the corps de ballet in many other ballets and neoclassical work.

Originated the role of Tom in the UK tour of Tom’s Midnight Garden, choreographed by Gareth Mole and Frances Livesey, inspired by Philippa Pearce’s novel.

Appeared in Jamiel Laurence Productions The Nutcracker at the Cardiff Christmas Festival.
Teaching Career - 2022 onwards
Owen is an accomplished dance educator, teaching at leading UK and international ballet and contemporary schools, as well as renowned musical theatre colleges. Owen’s expertise is as a Ballet Teacher, Coach, Rehearsal Director, Pas De Deux Teacher, Pilates Teacher and Mentor.

Qualifications

Level 5 Diploma in Dance Teaching with Distinction - BBO Dance, Level 6 BA (Hons) Degree — Northumbria University.

Pilates Teaching Diploma, Progressive Ballet Technique Certification, RAD Advanced 2 Ballet - ARAD.
He continues ongoing CPD training through the Royal Ballet School and previously with Kerry Nicholls Artist Mentoring Programme.
He holds relevant and updated Safeguarding training/checks, Prevent Training, First Aid qualifications and Public Liability.
Training & Early Life

Born and raised in Cornwall, Owen began training with with former professional dancers Nicola Brice and Terence Etheridge.

Continued studies at Totnes School of Dance - Devon. Completed a pre-vocational Performing Arts programme with Kennicott Sixth Form, achieving A-Levels alongside dance training.

Joined Ballet West in Scotland, touring across Scotland with the Ballet West Touring Company.

Performed in youth performance platforms including: National Youth Ballet of Great Britain, Duchy Ballet and Cornwall Youth Dance Company.
Creative Work

Published author of the novella Some People Come in Pairs and Other Musings - written in 2020, published in 2022.

Musically trained: proficient in music theory, sight-reading, and a skilled violinist.
Athletic Background

Former competitive middle-distance runner, representing county and club at national level in 1500m and cross-country events.

Achieved top-three finishes across the South West of England and placed strongly at national competitions.
